Major expectations from Super Eagles as Nigeria takes on Sierra Leone

Nigeria and Sierra Leone would face off at the AFCON qualifiers of Friday, with expectations rising in the Eagles camp as the team is expected to perform best.

As the teams clash, fans will be looking out for three important features.

The tempo of Eagles Play

The pace of the team will be in vogue as the host entertains their Sierra Leone counterparts.

Viewers would expect a moderate and exciting game from the Eagles against the modest Sierra Leone side, however, the tempo of players in the pitch.

Much would depend on the tempo of Eagles play especially in transition as Nigerians carry their expectation into the match with the sole aim of an outright victory.

Tactical Response from Manager

The tactical aspect of the game would be very key to Nigeria’s achievement and resonance on the game. The coach has been widely criticized for his poor match approach and poor showing on the tactical front. Nigerians would like to take note of his performance in detail especially in a competitive fixture like the Sierra Leone qualifying match.

The coach would not be spared in this regards if he underperforms since this is one major area Nigerians have not satisfied with since he took charge of the Super Eagles team in the year 2016.

The Team Starting-Line Up

The team’s starting line-up would be a clear picture of what Gernot Rohr has been taking note of all the times they spent in preparation for the match.

His starting team could reveal his team style and approach in the game per minute considering that the Super Eagles is laden with talented players.

Rohr is expected to pick a credible starting team as it could reveal where the team is headed for in the days ahead.
