Manchester City kept pace in the Premier League title race with a 1-0 win against Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday. City’s win gives them 32 points, behind Manchester United (36 points) and holders Liverpool (33 points) and level with Leicester City and Everton in the ever-tightening title race.
Phil Foden scored for City right before halftime by shaking off two Brighton defenders and then finishing
the master stroke with a precision strike. City almost doubled their lead at the 60-minute mark but saw David Silva’s effort from Ilkay Gundogan’s initial attempt rattle the post. The loss is a blow for the Seagulls as they try to move up the table, clinging onto the spot right above the relegation zone.
